Born in Dallas, Texas, now residing in Virginia, Kevin plays guitar and sings about love, death, diners and most everything in between. His music is a gumbo mix of Western swing, blues, traditional country, Cajun and bluegrass with thoughtful, clever, often humorous lyrics, delivered in a soft, dusty baritone.
Kevin released his first solo CD, “Texarkana Diner” in November 2011. Masterfully produced by Cathy Fink, the album’s title track received a Mid-Atlantic Songwriter Contest (MASC) Silver Award as well as Nashville/Paramount Grand Prize for Songwriting Excellence Fall 2011 contest. The title track can also be heard in the 2014 independent film "50 to 1".
Kevin is a current Washington Area Music Association (WAMA) and Songwriter’s Association of Washington (SAW) member. Over the last three years, he has been instructor and coordinator for the monthly SAW Toolbox songwriting work-shops as well as instructor for various guitar workshops.
Nominated for three 2013 WAMMIES: "Best Country CD", "Songwriter of the Year" and "Best Male Country Vocalist"
“Kevin serves up songs in a literary Americana vein often with a touch of dry humor, sometimes reflecting hard-times, but always thought provoking and down-right entertaining.” Don Walters- host Americana Night
